Infrastructure

Boudoir des Muses

Each 90-minute slot privatises one of the two salons in full for 2 people: Hédoné, quieter, with its pool and hammam, made for slow bathing; Vénus, more intimate, with its jacuzzi and sauna. No other guest shares the space with you. In Hédoné, a 60 m² space where the original cut stone has been preserved and restored, the moist heat of the traditional hammam pairs with a swim in the private pool, heated to 34 °C. In Vénus, the dry heat of the sauna alternates with the jets of the jacuzzi. Both salons share the same equipment (a rain shower, a lounge bench and an independent, adjustable, connected sound system) so you can shape your own ritual over the 90-minute slot.

About the spa

About the spa

Boudoir des Muses

Located at number 6 rue de Saintonge, this mysterious building housed an enigmatic theatre until 1807, closed by order of Napoleon, then the convent of the Filles du Calvaire, before being left abandoned for over a century and turned into a hotel today. The design and atmosphere draw on this duality, both religious and sensual, to create a space that is unique and mysterious. Boudoir des Muses sits in the small streets of the Haut-Marais, a Paris neighbourhood known for its contemporary art galleries and independent design boutiques, close to the Musée Picasso and the Marché des Enfants Rouges, the oldest covered market in Paris. The area is well served by the métro: Filles du Calvaire and Saint-Sébastien-Froissard (line 8), République (lines 3, 5 and 8) and Rambuteau (line 11).

FAQ

What makes Boudoir des Muses unique?

The building has a rare history for a Paris spa: a theatre closed by order of Napoleon in 1807, then the convent of the Filles du Calvaire, before becoming the 4-star hotel that houses this private spa today. The design draws on this duality between its religious past and its sensual atmosphere.

What do the bathing salons include?

Two salons, each privatised for 2 people for 90 minutes: Hédoné (60 m², a pool heated to 34 °C and a traditional hammam, set in the original cut stone) and Vénus (jacuzzi and sauna). A rain shower, a lounge bench and an independent, adjustable, connected sound system equip both salons.

How much does the spa at Boudoir des Muses cost?

The price covers the whole salon, for two, for 90 minutes: from €160 for Vénus, with jacuzzi and sauna, and from €220 for Hédoné, with pool and hammam. Nobody else shares the salon during your slot.

How do I book the spa at Boudoir des Muses?

On Relax, choose the Hédoné or Vénus salon, then the date and a 90-minute slot. The venue then confirms your booking. Each salon is privatised for 2 people for the whole slot, and the spa is open to everyone, whether or not you are staying at the hotel.

Can I give a visit to Boudoir des Muses as a gift?

Yes. On each salon, the Gift button opens the gift card with the salon already selected. The card is sent by email on the date you choose and is valid for 1 year. You can also give an amount of your choice, from €80.

Where is the spa?

6 rue de Saintonge, in the Haut-Marais (Paris 3rd), close to the Musée Picasso and the Marché des Enfants Rouges. The nearest métro stations are Filles du Calvaire and Saint-Sébastien-Froissard, on line 8.

Is Boudoir des Muses inside a hotel?

Do I need to be a hotel guest to book?

No. The spa is open to everyone on Relax, whether or not you are staying at the hotel.
